i'm not certain if this is replicated in other parts of the world:

domestic observation has shown that two animals of the same species (grandma and ma) have difficulty sharing the same plot of land (kitchen).

This behaviour is highly characteristic of territorial animals, where an organism defends an area against intrusion (usually from members of its own species) .

However, both organisms stop short of displaying territorial behaviour: noticeable displays of defence be it visual (the red breast of a robin), auditory (the calls of gibbons) or olfactory, through the deposit of scent marks.

Nonetheless, both organisms defend the area with unmistakable tenacity. More likely or not, the end result of the food supply is the cause for such behaviour.

Unfortunately, both organisms fail to realise that such territorial behaviour is purposeless. As the other organisms living in the same habitat aren't too particular of what they eat.
