okay, if you had the same problem as me where the formatting buttons are all lined up vertically, here's what to do:

1. log into your dashboard on www.blogger.com
2. then type "http://www2.blogger.com/home" into your url.
3. press enter
4. continue to create a new post from there

it worked for me. hope it does for you. :D
