pretty in pink

i'm glad i finally went to the gym after resting for a week. my neck has healed but i went easy on the weights to prevent a recurrence. while waiting for fir near the playground, i was observing two uncles seated on separate benches. they look to be in their their late 60s and were obviously taking things slow. and as expected, they took out pre-rolled cigarettes and started puffing away. it suddenly seemed appropriate for them to smoke at that time. hahas.

after gym, i picked her up and we drove around town to take in the night scenery before stopping by the padang. it was a nice night to be hanging out especially close to a colonial building, namely the supreme court. you can feel the grandness of it just by leaning against those solid granite walls. but i think it served a purpose: ego boost to chiefs of justices (wahhh, my office big ah!) and belittling effect on criminals (wahh, his office super big ah!).

and while we were crossing a sliproad we heard a bike "buang", which meant to lose control. even though i didn't get hurt, it was scary enough to get my adrenaline pumping. he must have entered the bend too fast and lost control of the bike. lucky for him he managed to escape from it alive. which explains why i get uneasy when any of my loved ones rides a bike. its not the biker's skills i worry about but how ignorant some motorists are. let's be honest here, what's a bike compared to a car?
